Isaac Surges
President

Isaac is a junior double majoring in Finance and Real Estate at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and is the current president of FIS. This is his fifth semester in the organization and second semester as president. He spent two semesters serving on the Executive Board as the Community Service Chair and the Treasurer. This past summer Isaac interned at Forward Development Group, a real estate development company in Waukesha, WI.

Nathan Stenz
Segment Chair

Nathan is a junior majoring in Finance. This is his fourth semester in FIS and third semester serving on the executive board. When he’s not hittin’ the books, Nathan enjoys singing with Redefined Co-ed A Cappella, UW Madison’s Premiere Co-ed A Cappella group, where he serves as the group’s Business Manager. This past summer, Nathan completed an internship at Thrivent Financial in Appleton, Wisconsin.

Rob Volk
Social Coordinator

Rob is a junior studying Finance and RMI, and is also enrolled in the Wealth Management and Financial Planning (WMFP) program. This is Rob’s third semester in the club and first on the executive board. In his free time, Rob enjoys staying active by biking, running, curling, and participating in other sports. This upcoming summer, Rob will work as a financial advisor intern at Plante Moran Financial Advisors in downtown Chicago.

Jason Frahm
Community Service Chair

Jason is a junior majoring in Finance with a Wealth Management and Financial Planning specialization in the Wisconsin School of Business.  He will be sitting for the CFP Exam upon his completion of the program in May of 2020. This will be his third semester as an active member of Finance and Investment Society and his first semester serving on the executive board. This past summer Jason interned in the Real Estate and Workplace Solutions department at American Family Insurance. Currently, he is interested in any opportunities for the summer of 2019.

Dana Hatfield
External Relations Chair

Dana is a junior studying Operations and Technology Management with an emphasis in Project Management. This is her fourth semester in Finance and Investment Society and her first on the executive board. Dana works at UW-Madison’s Bursars Office and co-owns a family real estate business located in New Mexico.  Dana spent the last summer in Seattle, Washington exploring the Pacific Northwest and expanding her network connections. She is currently looking for internship opportunities for Summer 2019.

Rachael Maurer
Communications Chair

Rachael is a junior majoring in Finance and Risk Management & Insurance. This is her fifth semester in Finance and Investment Society and her first serving on the executive board. Rachael currently works as a Special Awards Analyst at the UW-Office of Student Financial Aid. She is also actively involved in the business fraternity Delta Sigma Pi. Rachael is looking forward to gaining international experience in the spring of 2019 at Maastricht University in the Netherlands.

Brett Wronka
Internal Relations Chair

Brett is a junior studying Finance at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. This is his fourth semester in FIS and second semester on the Executive Board. He is currently searching for internship opportunities for the summer.

Jacob Asbjornson
Treasurer

Jacob is a junior majoring in Finance and Risk Management. This is his fourth semester in FIS and his second semester serving on the Executive Board. Last semester, he was the Internal Relations chair. Jacob also serves as a Vice President of Finance for Hoofers. In his spare time, he enjoys going on snowboarding trips with the Ski and Snowboard Club . Looking forward, Jacob looks to find an internship in equity research for this upcoming summer.

Jonathan Korger
FIS Senator

Jon is a junior majoring in Finance, Real Estate and Risk Management. This is his second semester in the club and his first semester on the executive board. Additionally, he’s also involved with Real Estate Club and the Wisconsin Real Estate Alumni Association. Jon recently completed an internship with Dominium’s Development and Acquisition team in the Twin Cities.
