Isaac Surges


Isaac is a sophomore double majoring in Finance and Real Estate at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and is the current president of FIS. This is his fourth semester in the organization and he spent two semesters serving on the Executive Board as the Community Service Chair and the Treasurer. This past summer, Isaac interned at Capital Commercial, a commercial real estate company in Pewaukee, WI.

Julia Jensen
Segmentation Chair


Julia is a sophomore studying Finance and is planning on graduating a year early in May of 2019. This is her fourth semester in FIS and her first semester on the executive board. She is also involved in the BBA mentorship program. Last year, Julia co-owned a coffee shop in West Towne Mall and sold the business in November of 2017 to focus on future internships. She has accepted an internship offer as a fixed income analyst at CUNA Mutual Group in Madison for this summer.

Cameron Rowe
Social Coordinator


Cameron is a Senior majoring in Finance and Risk Management & Insurance. This is his seventh semester in FIS and fifth serving on the Executive Board. Along with FIS, Cameron maintains membership in the Risk Management & Insurance Society where he currently serves as VP Social. Upon graduation, Cameron will begin his full-time career as a Financial Associate for Compeer Financial in Sun Prairie, WI.

Brett Wronka
Community Service Chair


Brett is a sophomore studying Finance at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. This is his third semester in FIS and first semester on the Executive Board. He is currently searching for internship opportunities for the summer.

Kirsten Opichka
External Relations Chair


Kirsten is a junior majoring in Finance and Risk Management & Insurance. This is her sixth semester in FIS and second serving on the executive board. She previously served as the Segment Chair. She is also the Vice President of Advocacy for UBC and a member of Women in Finance and Accounting. Kirsten spent this past summer interning in Milwaukee for Merrill Lynch.

Nathan Stenz
Communications Chair


Nathan is a sophomore majoring in Finance. This is his third semester in FIS and second semester serving on the executive board. Nathan also serves on the leadership board of the Wisconsin Undergraduate Business Council (UBC). In his remaining time, he enjoys singing with Redefined Co-ed A Cappella, UW Madison’s Premiere Co-ed A Cappella group. This summer, Nathan will be begin an internship at Thrivent Financial in Appleton, Wisconsin.

Jacob Asbjornson
Internal Relations Chair


Jacob is a Sophomore majoring in Finance and Risk Management. This is his third semester in FIS and his first semester serving on the Executive Board. Jacob also serves as a Business Week Chair on the Undergraduate Business Council. In his spare time, he enjoys going on snowboarding trips with the Hoofers Ski and Snowboard Club. Looking forward, Jacob looks to find an internship in corporate finance.

Jake Johnson

Jake is a junior double majoring in Finance and Economics. This is his fourth semester in FIS and this is his second semester on the Executive Board, where he previously served as the External Relations Chair. In addition, he served as BBA Senator for the club. He is interested in investment research and has interned at North Star Asset Management the last two summers. This summer, he is looking for an internship in investment research at a larger company.

Andrew Childs

Andrew is a Junior studying Finance and Computer Science at the University of Wisconsin and is the current senator for FIS. This Spring is his sixth semester in the organization and he has previously served on the Executive Board as President and Segment Chair. Andrew recently completed a financial analyst internship at Dell in Austin, Texas.
